The Duke of York's is the oldest purpose built continually operating cinema in the UK. It opened on 22nd September 1910 and celebrates its cenetenary this year. Come and visit our grade II listed building and watch a film in living and working history. We have a luxury balcony area and you are welcome to take alcoholic drinks into the auditorium. We offer a top of the range wine list and local beers and have a beautiful balcony bar which is worth a visit even if you're not watching a movie.
We offer the very best in arthouse, world and quality cinema and this month have a range of genres to suit all tastes from Woody Allen's latest comedy to Kristen Scott Thomas in a romantic French drama.
We have a very popular Kids' club every Saturday at 11am showing U and PG certificate films. A parents and baby screening every Wednesday at 11am and a Silver Screen offer for over 60's all day on a Tuesday at £3.50 / person + coffee and biscuits.
We recommend becoming a member to make big savings throughout the year and cut prices on all events and screenings.
