'A pub since 1832, this beautiful, quirky building is now enjoyed by a stylish cross-section of buzzy Brightonians and select visitors.
Whether on the raised sun terrace with sea views, a candlelit corner downstairs or an old Chesterfield by the fire upstairs, you can enjoy our elegant yet simple menu, with the emphasis on locally sourced produce, quality (but not pretentious) wine list, great beers, real ales and coffee.

Beautiful 1st Floor with Private Bar
Space - Think Chesterfields, open fires, high ceilings, chandeliers, polished oak floors and Georgian mirrors. And as with downstairs there will be table service and a fully stocked bar offering a range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.
What we offer - Usually open as part of the over-all bar, this beautiful space is ideal for private parties of between 30 and 80 people. The choices are limitless; Brighton Rocks staff will work with you to create the perfect event. From classic drinks parties to elaborate fancy dress events, we can cater for every eventuality and our experienced staff can handle all the details allowing you to enjoy every moment. We offer full catering, wine tasting allowing you to select the wines for your party, we can accommodate DJ’s to bands and everything in between and can serve you this medley of good times until 1 in the morning. Similar private bookings can be arranged for our downstairs bar privately on Mondays and Tuesdays or with table reservations whilst the bar is open.
What it costs - For most events there is no hire charge. Brighton Rocks will ask you to provide a deposit to confirm your booking, which can be in the form of cheque or card. We ask you to agree to a £300 minimum spend which includes all food and drink. Inclusive in this is a bartender and waiter. They will look after you throughout the evening. We can arrange decorations, entertainment and music as required.
How to book - Please just send us an email. Brighton Rocks will endeavour to contact you within 48 hours to discuss your requirements. A cheque deposit is preferable but we can take over the phone deposits if more convenient, this deposit will be refunded on the night. All pre-ordered food and drinks must be paid for at the time of booking
